Feast of the appearance of the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Kazan (2024 Mr.)

On Sunday, Kursk-Root Hermitage celebrated its patronal feast day in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. An all-night vigil was served in the cathedral church the day before, on the day of the feast itself, a moleben with an akathist to the Theotokos, and after the Divine Liturgy, which was headed by the abbot of the monastery, Hegumen Seraphim (Kotelnikov). After the service, a procession to the holy spring of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God took place, where a water-blessing prayer service was held for the patronal feast day.
