Feast of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring" in Kursk-Root Hermitage
Every year on Friday of Bright Week, the Orthodox Church honors the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "The Life-Giving Spring". 10 May 2024 Metropolitan German of Kursk and Rylsk celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of Kursk, Kursk-Root Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Hermitage.
Concelebrating with His Eminence: abbot of the monastery abbot Seraphim (Kotelnikov), Dean of the Zolotukhinsky Church District, Archpriest Peter Yurochko, Priest Roman Gontar, Priest Pavel Lobarev, Priest Andrei Malenkin and the brethren of the monastery in the priesthood.
At the end of Liturgy, the archpastor performed the lesser blessing of water and led the Paschal procession.
Bishop German congratulated all the worshippers on the Bright Resurrection of Christ and in his archpastoral sermon recalled the history of the Life-Giving Spring Icon of the Mother of God.
